1. DISCOVER SAILING
Our ‘Discover Sailing’ package is aimed at the complete novice. The 3-hour exhilarating introduction aims to provide an insight into the essential basics. Then it’s onto the water with your instructor to practice maritime knowledge on either a Beneteau 34.7 and Archambault 35. This basic package can accommodate up to six persons with a qualified RYA instructor. Upon completion all participants will be presented with a certificate of recognition.

Assumed knowledge: None
Course content: Basic seamanship
Ability after course: Basic knowledge of yachting.
Times: 9am-12pm or 2pm-6pm
2. START SAILING
This 3-four hour course will take you through every aspect of the theoretical and practical elements of the sport of sailing. Guests have the opportunity to participate in a classroom theory session with audio-visual aids to learn about on-water safety, boat layout and basic navigational skills. On completion, participants will have learnt all about the boats they have sailed, safety, ropework, rigging, tacking and navigational skills. All participants will be presented with a certificate of completion.

Assumed knowledge: None
Course content: Steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and safety onboard.
Ability after course: Basic knowledge of yachting. Reduces the time needed to complete the Competent Crew course.
Times: 9am-12pm or 2pm-6pm
3. COMPETENT CREWING
A 3-four hour course specifically designed for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members. Upon completion you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, assist in all day-to-day routines on board and have learnt the principles of helmsmanship in just two fun-filled days. All participants will be presented with a certificate of completion.

Course content: Steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and safety onboard.
Ability after course: By the end of the course you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all day-to-day routines on board.

THE MINA MATCH RACING CUP
After being fully briefed on all the elements required to be a race-winning yachtsman, you will then be given a unique opportunity to compete head to head in a match race under the watchful eyes of Duboats renowned America’s Cup skippers.
This exhilarating challenge lasting 3 hours will take place in the turquoise waters facing the Palm Jumeirah. A minimum of two teams of 4 plus a qualified skipper will be competing in each race for the coveted Mina Trophy. For the competitive natured this is sure to be a must!
