The Mina Effect

The first 10k Abras Run was hosted at the Mina Seyahi on Friday, 23rd May. The event was extremely successful and attracted 160 plus participants to run the new course, which was designed specifically for the race. Participants started at the breakwater and were led on a beautiful run around the marina and through the grounds of the complex.

 

The weather was perfect and the compliments that we received on the course and the Mina Complex were a plenty. The ‘Mina Team’ which represented the complex and comprised of associates from the Recreation department, The Heavenly Spa, Service Express and Bellmen, ran a fantastic race earning a third place standing in the result table….. a great achievement.

DUBAI, May 12, 2008: It’s official. Barasti Bar at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina is the Best Bar in the World. The Top 100 Bars list is compiled from guest feedback, and Barasti regulars and holidaymakers all voted the beach-themed outlet as number one.

“Barasti has always been number one with its most regular patrons, but to receive international recognition is fantastic,” said Shaun Parsons, Executive Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage, Mina Seyahi Complex.

“Barasti Bar is the social hub of Dubai and is a venue that is always full of excitement. The team here works hard to keep the product fresh and innovative, while maintaining great service levels, and I think that has been the main factor in Barasti being voted the best bar in the world,” Parsons added.

The cream of the world’s drinking establishments came in ahead of The Exclusive Newz Bar in Liverpool, UK, which took second place, while Club 11 in Amsterdam came in third.

Not only is Barasti the world’s number one bar, it is also the busiest in Dubai. Beverage supplier Sirocco recently announced that the bar has broken all records for on trade business, which means that Barasti serves more beverages than any other venue in the city.

Barasti benefits from a superb beachfront location, making it the ideal venue for lazy summer days, sundowners after work, and chilling out with friends after dark.

From relaxing on bean bags with a shisha pipe to singing along to one of the many live bands, Barasti has something for everyone.
