Earth Hour at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi

On March 28th between the hours of 8:30 and 9:30PM the environment received a little reciprocity during the 3rd Annual Earth Hour. Along the Jumeirah Coast at Le Méridien Mina Seyahi lights went out to represent the support from Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

The event offered Le Méridien guests the possibility to become involved, switch of their lights, vacate their rooms and visit the Lobby Lounge for candlelit settings and a dimmed atmosphere. To strengthen the impact, associates of the hotel were provided screening times to view Earth Awareness videos to further spread the understanding of the initiative.

According to Hotel Manager Shaun Parsons, “we were excited to participate in this global event and the guest feedback shows they appreciated and enjoyed it as well.” Originating in Sydney, Australia in 2007, Earth Hour offers people from all walks of life the chance to vote for Earth, and the opportunity to promote a sustainable future.

Barasti are proud to donate funds from drinks sold on the evening plus other money to this worthy cause.” Explains Shaun Parsons, Hotel Manager, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.

A worthwhile cause and a great chance to embrace your Australian spirit.
